NFC - Near Field Communication

The location of a phone’s NFC touch-point or “sweet spot” varies by manufacturer, although it is typically found on the back or top edge of the phone. To determine where the NFC touch-point is positioned on your specific phone, please consult your owner’s manual.

Whenever you see the N-Mark symbol, it means, “tap here” to learn more or to activate an NFC transaction or experience. You’ll find this symbol on NFC-enabled devices, in apps that support NFC, and on touchpoints around town and around the world.Tracking campaigns is a very important part of understanding your websites’ performance.

NFC stands for Near Field Communication. NFC is only activated when your phone or other smart device is right next to a terminal or an NFC tag so you have complete control over what you choose to connect to.

When cookies are disabled, some data in CAVE will be less accurate. Specifically…

CAVE uses cookies to store a unique visitor ID, used to recognize visitors from previous visits. When cookies are disabled, CAVE will still be able to determine unique visitors based on IP address and other footprints, but this will be slightly less accurate.
E commerce and Goal tracking attribution: By default, CAVE stores the website or keyword or campaign used to find the website in a cookie, so that we can credit this website when the visitor makes a conversion (Goal conversion or E commerce order). If the conversion happens in the same visit, CAVE will always credit the referrer (even if cookies are disabled). 

However imagine the following use case: the visitor uses a newsletter link tagged with a campaign, visits 5 pages on your website but does not buy. He then comes back 2 hours later directly typing your website URL (therefore a Direct Entry visit), then buys during this second visit. When cookies are enabled, CAVE credits the conversion to the initial Campaign. When cookies are disabled, the conversion is not attributed to the original newsletter link as this data is not available.
Reports such as “Days since last visit”, “Visits by visit count”, “Visits to Conversion”, “Days to Conversion” will count all visits without cookie similarly to new visitors.

Bluetooth technology eliminates the use of cables to connect to your devices to one another. NFC technology is designed to work with Bluetooth. A simple tap will pair NFC and NFC-enabled Bluetooth devices for ongoing connectivity.

During setup, go to your setting menu, look for NFC (sometimes listed under “more”), turn it on, and you’re ready to go. There are no apps to download or codes to enter. And NFC does not drain your battery.
